Getting Around

Arc provides transportation opportunities for monthly dances sponsored by the Arc and various service organizations. Arc also provides dollars to St George’s Special Ministries and Area 27 Special Olympics for transportation costs. If you need resources for an after-hours group activity, please give us a call we may be able to help.

Arc is currently developing a community volunteer service to help provide people with disabilities individual opportunities to get around their community for various life and neighborhood activities.

Arc is the principal organization involved in organizing a transportation coalition in the Livingston County community. We recognize that people with disabilities and their families need transportation that is reliable, accessible, affordable and responsive. Changing Transportation for Changing Lives seeks to bring together users of public transportation, fellow citizens, agencies, businesses, organizations, and groups to network and discover exactly what the county has to offer, what people need to live and work independently in their community, how we can better the existing system, and unite to begin to make public transportation work for everyone in the county. This is made possible through funding from the Michigan Developmental Disabilities Council.

How Can You Help? Please give the Arc a call at (517) 546-1228 or email us at pnowak@arclivingston.org to become a member and participate in the Arc community.
